Compensation and Benefits Analyst

The Compensation and Benefits Analyst will administer the organization’s compensation and benefit plans and programs to meet our strategy. The analyst will maintain base salary, incentive plans and commission program, as well as manage internal equity in a pay for performance philosophy environment. The analyst will also be responsible for benefits administration.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Conduct ongoing analysis of jobs, hourly wages, salaries, and incentives in order to evaluate internal equity and legal compliance.

  • Administer monthly/quarterly/annual incentive programs

  • Assist in annual merit increase cycle

  • Ensure pay practices stay compliant with all federal, state, and regulatory laws/requirements

  • Participate in market salary surveys

  • Audit compensation-related information, such as job codes, salary plans, grades, etc.

  • Manage relationships with multiple third-party health service providers

  • Manage benefits system and online enrollment system processes for all benefit plans, including maintaining automated file feeds, troubleshooting errors, and problem resolution

  • Assist in the administration of health and group insurance plans, retirement & pension, including 401(k) plan, and other employer-sponsored benefit plans and perks

  • Provide analysis of benefit costs for the development of the benefits budget. Compile, analyze and report benefit data including employee, benefit plan and financials for strategic planning

  • Responsible for timely payment of benefits billing and vendor payments

  • Performs other duties as needed upon request by immediate supervisor

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related business field required

  • Minimum two years of relevant compensation experience and knowledge of benefits administration required

  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) or working towards certification preferred

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, and job evaluation methodology to develop recommendations

  • Knowledge of FLSA, state and federal regulations impacting compensation and benefits

  • Good understanding of health, welfare plans, and Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and COBRA

  • Advanced-level Excel proficiency required (e. g., v-lookups, pivot tables, if/then formulas) and the ability to consolidate and manipulate large data sets with a commitment to accuracy.

  • Previous hands-on experience working with Kronos (Core HCM, Payroll, Benefits, Compensation, Reporting, and Analytics) preferred
